Post-Pandemic Beauty Trends

The past few years shook the industry and our guests, leaving everyone with the question, “what will beauty trends be like post-pandemic?” Former CEO of L'Oreal, Jean Paul Agon, has predicted a swing towards decadence, reminiscent of the Roaring 20’s, which followed the 1918 global influenza outbreak, saying "Putting on lipstick again will be a symbol of returning to life."

What trends do we see in the salon?

Currently at Tops Hair Salon in Rockledge, FL, we are still seeing a surge in new guests, along with color & cut changes to our regulars. I don’t think it’s necessarily about certain trends, but more about feeling different and fresh. Massive length adjustments, or pixies have been requested a lot, just like someone cutting hair off after a break up. Seeing yourself in the mirror with a fresh new look can be uplifting. It's as if you have cut off bad energy thats been stored in the hair. Or maybe they are looking for a new job and need a look thats appropriate, or reinvent themselves. Whatever the reason might be, our guests are looking to feel good about themselves more than ever.

What are we doing to be ready for our guests?

This means being ready for change, prepped with ideas and knowledge of what color and lengths are appropriate for certain faceshapes. All of our stylists are trained with strong foundation, and then using their individual style, and inspired by each and every guest. We wont offer the same cookie cutter approach, and will always strive to achieve hair that you will fall in love with.
